Transparency Ranking of 100 Ukrainian Cities

The Transparency Rating of the 100 Largest Cities in Ukraine is the result of assessing the transparency of the activities of city councils in the 100 largest cities in Ukraine. We evaluate transparency in 14 key areas of local government activity using the indicators of our methodology. The first transparency assessment methodology was developed in partnership with the Institute of Political Education. Every year, experts from the program review the methodology and update it in accordance with changes in legislation, recommendations from representatives of local government bodies, relevant civil society organizations, and active residents of the cities. The ranking is conducted annually based on data from local council bodies and their processing and verification by program analysts.
